Caldwell Night Rodeo Names New General Manager
CALDWELL, Idaho – After a thorough nationwide search, the Caldwell Night Rodeo (CNR) is proud to announce Nicole Cassity as its next General Manager.
Cassity most recently held the position of CNR’s Director of Marketing & Sales, having helped support the rodeo’s mission to be one of the top rodeos in the nation for more than seven years. Before CNR, Cassity was on the River Discovery Board of Directors, and as Participant Coordinator and Retreat Leader for the Southern Idaho Casting for Recovery Retreats, where she served women in all stages of breast cancer. This is an organization close to her heart as Cassity herself is a 16-year breast cancer survivor.
Cassity, her husband, and their children raise Highlander cattle, ducks, and chickens.
“I am so excited to be stepping into this new role and further the legacy of our incredible rodeo. Throughout my time so far with the CNR team, I have seen the immeasurable impacts the rodeo has had on our community,” said Cassity. “I am grateful to have earned the trust of our Board of Directors to continue our legacy and advance our mission to be a destination rodeo. As we head into our 101st year, I am looking forward to ushering our historic rodeo into its next century.”
“We had many outstanding applicants who could have successfully filled this role. However, when it came to the final decision, Nicole’s leadership and commitment to our Board of Directors, the rodeo, the athletes, and the fans were unparalleled – and she is the best person to guide us into the future,” said Edward Lodge, President of the CNR Board of Directors. “While the public witnesses one remarkable week of rodeo in August, it requires months of planning and preparation to host a rodeo of this magnitude. Nicole has demonstrated that she possesses the drive, determination, and dedication essential to lead and develop our cherished rodeo for generations to come.”
The Caldwell Night Rodeo and Caldwell Night Rodeo Foundation are currently updating its rodeo arena and grounds to elevate the premier rodeo experience. Right now, phase one is underway to construct a state-of-the-art announcer stand that will be ready come rodeo time this summer. Rodeo tickets are up for sale – but the most popular nights are close to selling out. For more information on tickets and schedule of events, go to www.caldwellnightrodeo.com.
