WELCOME TO CALDWELL NIGHT RODEO

Now in its 100th year, Caldwell Night Rodeo is one of the largest and longest-running annual events in Canyon County, drawing crowds in excess of 45,000 over 5 action-packed nights. Listed among the top 20 professional rodeos AND Top 5 large outdoor rodeos in the nation, CNR features the best professional cowboys & cowgirls in the world and is an annual stop on the professional rodeo tour. For the last three consecutive years, CNR has been voted #1 Large Outdoor Family Event in Canyon County by Idaho Press Tribune readers and one of the Top 10 Rodeo’s in the United States by Real Time Cowboys Magazine. 

Led by a 15-person volunteer Board of Directors, Caldwell Night Rodeo is a not-for-profit organization. Now in its 10th decade, this signature event is sustained with the support of hundreds of volunteers who contribute countless hours of their own time each year. The rodeo boasts an estimated impact of over $12-$14 million dollars to the local economy and through sponsorship, vending and fundraising initiatives, proudly returns over $300,000 in donations and scholarships to various community groups, individuals and charitable organizations annually.

WHO ATTENDS CNR?

As one of the first rodeos in the Pacific Northwest to ever be held under the lights, the Caldwell Night Rodeo offers an experience unlike any other. With over 600 top-notch contestants and 7 action-packed events held each night, the excitement in our arena is unparalleled. 70% of attendees reside within Canyon & Ada County and nearly half attend for the outdoor “experience” that Caldwell Night Rodeo offers. Equally divided by the infamous “Rowdies” and “Civies” – the CNR crowd plays an integral role in the friendly rivalry and excitement of the rodeo. 

With an average household income of over $50,000, 25% of rodeo attendees are seniors, 25% represent couples with children, 25% are couples without children. The remaining 25% is divided between singles with and without children. The CNR audience is approximately 55% female & 45% male.

As a signature event “Where the Cowboys are the Stars” and Idaho’s Largest Outdoor Rodeo, Caldwell Night Rodeo generates a significant amount of attention in local & national media. Our television, radio and print partners work diligently to promote the rodeo and the many events held in conjunction with it throughout the month of August and all year long. The organization implements an aggressive, integrated marketing and advertising campaign each season, providing numerous opportunities for our sponsors to receive maximum media recognition for their support of this annual Idaho tradition. Up to 12 guests can enjoy the rodeo high above the crowd in a covered skybox – complete with bistro seating, snacks and an open bar with attendant.
