caldwell night rodeo foundation
Caldwell Night Rodeo Foundation is the sister non-profit of Caldwell Night Rodeo. Originally beginning in 2004 as the Caldwell Western Heritage Foundation, the CWHF was created to give college scholarships to the western and agriculture involved youth of our area. Now under their new name CNRF hosts multiple events each year that strive to benefit western youth in our community. They are currently partnering with local Idaho athletes and Caldwell Night Rodeo Ambassadors to host rodeo event clinics for youth in the Treasure Valley. They also host PRCA Youth Camps that teach kids in our community that haven’t had much exposure the the rodeo lifestyle about the type of events and opportunities rodeo can bring.
Caldwell Night Rodeo Capital Campaign
After celebrating 100 years of Caldwell Night Rodeo comes maintenance and need for improvements. In special thanks to the Caldwell City Council, a $1.6 million match has been approved to fund improvements at our nonprofit rodeo. The resolution was passed unanimously and construction will begin October 1, 2024.
Mayor Jarom Wagoner said he fondly remembers attending the rodeo as a child, including working at the rotary booths. “It’s just great memories for me, and I love it,” Wagoner said, “and now I’m making those memories with my sons.” Wagoner said city staff were interested in using the city’s fund balance on something to “enhance the community” and “gives back to the city economically.”
Caldwell Night Rodeo in partner with the Caldwell Night Rodeo Foundation have now launched a capital campaign to make our dreams of improvements a reality and we need your help! Our goals include a new announcer’s stand, expansion and permanent skyboxes, ADA compliance and over all general safety improvements across the grounds. Phase One’s estimated total is $4.2 million but if the generous community of Caldwell gives more, they can be guaranteed the rodeo is ready to support them right back.

Rodeo 101 Highlights
Caldwell Night Rodeo Foundation hosts a PRCA Youth Rodeo Camp each year and invites local youth programs to come experience the joys of rodeo. The kids get to watch a junior rodeo to see rodeo in action, participate on real PRCA simulators of events and enjoy an educational lunch teaching about where their food comes from. Most of all, its a fun day of sun at the D&B Supply Arena!
4-H & FFA Support
Investing in our youth is a big part of what we do. Local 4-H and FFA Livestock auctions give us a platform to reward the hours of hard work they’ve put into their project animals.
Supporting local rodeo
Caldwell Night Rodeo is proud to support two local college rodeo programs that make their homes within hours of our own arena.
Treasure Valley Community College is a top choice for high school graduates looking to continue their rodeo growth before entering in the PRCA. TVCC is located in Ontario, Oregon and has both a men’s and women’s rodeo team. They compete each year with a large representative at the College National Finals Rodeo in June.
College of Southern Idaho, located in Twin Falls, Idaho also boasts both a men’s and women’s rodeo team competing at high levels in the Pacific Northwest. CSI-Rodeo has a steady reputation of bringing regional trophies back to our great state.
